Very nice, I resized those two pic, there way to big for someone on dialup to open.
I like your brick work in that one pic, very nice!
Doug
thanx for the resize. I couldn't figure out how to do it myself :(
Don't know what programs you are using but perhaps this link might help you out. 24441.75

Goooood Lord, you planning on taking over the govt or something? Looks like that gun rack could hold about 50 rifles.

Sheeze, we don't want Gunner to start hanging out with this guy. Between 'em they might be able to fill the gun rack :)

I did some work for a well known Austinite, I think I've mentioned him to you once, he brings home 4 big safes one day, each one big enough to hold a big block chevy eng. He wanted them to store guns and ammo!
He wanted to hide the safes but hell theres only so much room in a house that has less then 2000 sq ft.
He even wanted to line one of his closets with lead, something about cameras not being able to see into it! I dont know what was up with that.

As I was clicking the "post" button I remembered the plumber on this job, he was a bit-O-gun nut as well. Those two guys hit it off real well!!!

Ah, the old Permian Basin joke about gun control means keeping your truck between the lines . . . <g>Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
the guy I built this for is a gun collector, and he just about filled it up when I finished it .Oh yeah , and the drawers are full of pistols!!
Is that a steel security door/gate that rolls down to cover the gun rack?
Is it manual, or on some cool remote switch? Any special mounting for it that had to be "snuck" into the mill & case work?
Did not see any high-capacity drawers or insulated/locking drawers for ammo--which is likely because the installation does not make them obvious as a guess (a likely good thing).
the steel door is remote control. I set it in the attic on the side of a truss.as far as locks no he didn't opt for those, but it is in an alarm equiped detached garage.
one more neat thing I was actually paid to create!
z- how are you going to sheath that?View Image

this is a job I did a while back and what I did was sheet the flat part all the way to the beginning of the curve then I took construction paper and laid it square to where a ridge would be, cut it at the curved valley then transferred it to plywood (2 layers 3/8 ply glued and screwed)
any more pics? I've never done an eyebrow. Can you describe your process?
unfortunately I depended on the builder to take the pics from this pic on.He kept the pics and probably still passes it off as his creation, even though I did this whole thing with only a pic from a magazine!!
as far as the method ,I figured out the length and rise of the proposed window then made sure the rib was deep enough for trim , sheetrock et cetera popped lines on a shop floor repesenting level and pitch of the roof and scaled it . I built my ribs in the shop took them to the job and they actually worked on layout the first time.Of course theres a bit more to it than that ,but looking at your work I don't think I need to fill in all the blanks;)
I like the eyebrow ... got to have a hand on one very much the same a coupla years ago.
came up with the same system ... laminated ply brows ... with ears.

Very nice looking stuff. The cabinet work is exceptional. It's nice to do good work and be proud of it. Good job!
