Where would you think your painting subs would range, high to low, for finishing walls, ceilings, and all trim on a 3000 sf 3 br, 2.5 ba house with 63 exterior window or door openings, 13 interior doors, flat 3.5 inch trim everywhere, and flat ceilings.
All cabinetry and builtins are factory finished. The “extra” in the job, being a mission-type trimout, is that all window and door heads are part of a continuous headband around the rooms, thus it’s sort of like doubling the base.
Woodwork is maple, all of it to be clearcoated.

I'll bite... how about $32K?
Depends totally on the quality of sub you go with.
When did you ever pay a painting sub that much to paint the interior of a new three bedroom house?
Let's say your painting sub wants to get $50 per hour for his troubles, and $28 each for his two regular helpers.
Let's also say that his material costs for the paint, rags, masking tape, etc., will run him $1200.
One 40 hour work week will cost you $4240. The marked up materials might cost you $1400.
Remember, it is just walls, windows, doors, and trim. Every piece of cabinetry and built-in in the house is already finished. It just needs to be bagged.
At your figure, they will be in there over seven weeks. SEVEN WEEKS.
I have done a lot of painting myself. Brushwork, airless, HVLP, detailed masking, etc. I can easily do everything required to finish three bedrooms, including their closets, in three days. That's working by myself. But I want to sub this one out.
Guys I know painting a new 7500 foot house: painted interior trim, doors, walls, ceilings, and painted exterior trim and stained cedar shingles. All done with fanatical attention to detail.... about $200K. Five guys there for months.
It sounds like you have a good grasp of what's required, so what did you estimate?
The whole house accented, 7 rooms, including furniture, occupants and pets.... about 10 minutes... demo included...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming.... WOW!!! What a Ride!
You must be doing it by filling a coffee can with latex paint, setting one in each room, and then dropping in cherry bombs.
Close. Very close.
