We have a water fountain about 8′ in dia that is made from concrete. It is about 70 years old. It had been painted twice the cracks all fixed with something like the hardest plaster I have ever seen. Then parged to fix the leaks and then more parging and cement. We took 6″ thick of various repair layers out of it. We have it back to its original depth and shape took the paint and miscellaneous layers of with a carefull sandblasting. We now need to patch the big cracks which we planned to do with Duracrete and then coat with swimming pool paint in a tan colour. There are a lot rough areas that could use a thin layer of something to smooth it out. Any ideas on what to use? Is there a better product than swimming pool paint?

I haven't used it, but I've heard good things about it. If you try it, let us know how it works.
