I have to raise a wall in a garage to replace a sill plate and am not sure the best way to it? Normally, it’s a floor and I’ll jack from underneath. I think the best way is to bolt a 2×4 to the wall and jack against the 2×4 at a slight angle. I also thought about jacking against the top plate. Any suggestions would help.

lag a 2x4 or 2x6 into the studs and jack against it.. you may have to run diagonla braces inside to resist your out of plumb jack direction to prevent jacking the wall in instead of up
