Here are a few pictures of the final day of rebuilding our pier at the Hull YC. Had new pilings driven in the spring and finally finished the cross beams and x braces.
Came up with an interesting jig for notching the round piles for the 4x 12 cross beams. The flat board with the saw guides allows you to get the notch oriented directly to the other piling using a string line. and since it is flat the bottom of the notch turns out nice and flat.
Worked great and one jig made it thru 16 notches although as you can see its pretty tired by now.
