This is what I’ve been up to (no barrel vaults or coffers). Three recent jobs (custom laminated cabinet and top, and a few kitchen pics).
edit to add: It occurred to me during the last Olympics that it would help us appreciate the true greatness of those world class athletes to have a “normal average Joe” in each event. That is what this post is like (relative to the other “recent work”).

Don't you ever apologize.....Your work is your own and it is great.....
Thankyou Carole. Some of the work posted here is really amazing. It is inspirational and humbling.BTW I grew up roaming the Sonoran desert and mountains (Catalinas, Rincon, Mt. Lemon, Mt. Graham, etc.) fond memories.
I can't wait to walk around out there.......We drove up to the Sonoran Desert Museum in 2000, stopped along the way and just stood breathless......12 days to go!!!Again, I love looking at someone's work....You're right, there is some awesome work here.....Off to Tucson, got my groove on, in the shadow of the Rincon...
Ditto whats been said previous,I appreciate all pics/info posted.
Nice work! george c.
Cawfy, Jeff & Doug,Thanks for the feedback. I just bid on a showcase kitchen with a 25K cabinet budget. I'll probably find out if I get to do it this week. That would be my biggest kitchen job yet.Mostly, I figure I do above average work, on average kitchens...and that is fine with me. I'll keep postin' my average work as long as someone likes to see it.Off to look at replacing a patio door and 3 windows...my last outdoor project before the snow flies.
Always enjoy seeing pics of any kind. Nothing wrong with these, either. All look like nice jobs to be proud of. BTW, what kind of restaurant and where is the custom laminate cabinet? Maybe I would travel and get an "up close look"!
I get paid to do carpentry. That makes me a professional.
If I work on my own house does that make me a DIY?
Erbert & Gerberts Sandwich Shop, Winona, MN. I bid "high" on that job and still "beat" the laminate shop in LaCrosse by almost 1K. Talk about leaving $ on the table ; (
Hate it when that happens. As long as we make what we need, it's still too bad to "waste" all that cash!I get paid to do carpentry. That makes me a professional.

Ahh, perspective is a wonderful thing aint it? See I know the thread you were thinkin about when you said that. Well, welcome to the ground floor with the rest of us. That stuff is fine. And come to think of it, pictures are just inherently interesting. I like em all too. Look at the bright side. You weren't up four tiers of scaffolding to complete it.

I was actually glad Stan Foster was just posting pics of a garden shed...I can keep up with that 8>)
Nice work bass.
Theres nothing wrong with average joes, they pay the bills just as well as all the others.
Plus I just watched "Dodgeball" on HBO and the Average Joe's won the big one!
Doug
all looks good.
somehow my "average joe" pictures always seem to help pay for the "portfolio specials"!
