   or

   So, Mark...

   Thanks for the message back. I appreciate it more than you know. I would love to find a way to get more information out so people would not make the same lighting mistakes over and over. I have been answering questions about lighting for 30 years and have been working with a number of contractors that utilize Fine Homebuilding Magazine (BreakTime). I do not know everything, and never will. But if I can help out here or there I am more than happy to do so. The industry has been so good to me, and I am grateful to all the contractors I have worked with over the years. (Many just know me as" Scott" from the last company I was at.) So thanks again, I was very excited to get your message. I hope to work with you on a project in the future.

   I hope to work with you on a project in the future.

   You never know.

   I like to use my locally owned family supply house for electric and another for plumbing. Same goes for all my material when appropriate (such as drywall, I wouldn't do that to a family-make'em haul board up or down..................)

   But, electrical design and the latest information I can use in both bidding and suggesting to clients is very timely.  I urge you to bookmark this site and if possible, check in often as there are questions you could answer with a whole lot more expertise than many of us can muster..........

   I also urge you to go high on the info and low on the link to your company, otherwise it's really running an ad and so, you should be contacting the advertising dept at FHB.  It pays the bills.

   With that said, a link to a business is not really verbotin, but there is a line that us gentlemen/women do not cross and expect the same from newcomers so as to keep (in reality, rebuild) the integrity that once was pretty damn good web forum.

   You know what I mean.

   So, welcome to BT.

   Now, if a feller were a bit earlier in the game-what do you know, advise and think might be a seller as far as under (and-in cabinet) lighting?

   New to BT

   I have posted before on other sites.(but only now and then)  I was told that not doing a full disclaimer on who I am and where I work, (because I am a lighting designer that works for a lighting supply company) would be frowned on.  So I have used full disclosure in my posts.

   I just did a kitchen remodel project and used the Elite brand of undercabinet, old style fluorescent. It is very low profile and the project looks great.

   Everyone is all over the LED cabinet lights, but I am not sold yet. The problem is the LED (emitter) may last 50,000 hours, but what about the cheap china made capacitor that is in the circuit that runs the LED. We have already seen problems.    I have also noticed that there is alot of new lighting comeing out intoour world, and wow isnt it all over whelming. Who ever knew LED lights actually save you money! i did some research and found them very expensive upfront bu thet last you for so many years which i guess is great, it saves you buying a new light bulb every 6 months!

   I recently decided to go out an buy some LED's just to try and see if the roumors were true. Turns out they are! they are a natural looking light they dont fliker and are expected to last anywhere between 20,000 hours-100,000 hours...

   The site i visited to purchase my LED lights is called http://www.bulk-discount-lights.com.au they had an amazing rage of LED lights but also things such as deck lights, brick lights, wall lights and bollard lights you name they are bound to have it!

   Although you are their lights online i found them to be very reliable, you can also call them up and ask them about there products. I would definately recomend to anyone to switch to LED lights you cant l;oose your saving money in the long run they dont flicker and last forever!

   If you're going to spam a site, at least proofread what you evidently didn't learn in school.

   I hope someone washes Breaktime of bull shit like your post.

   Thanks for at least trying to post under the right topic.  Hope you live long enough to change those bulbs.
