Are there any recommendations for a transit/laser level? I will probably only use the tool two or three times per year, although I’m a big fan of spending money to get the quality i need. There is nothing more irritating the a nailer that jambs, and I don’t feel like recalibrating the unit each time. What kind of features are found most useful? Is it ease of assembly? Perhaps the remote? What should I plan on spending?
Thank you in advance,

What will you be using it for?
I use a Topcon lazer level w/receiver for building layout (about $1200, if I recall) but you can spend much more (or less) depending on the durability and accuracy you're after. (Most of the lazer levels are NOT transits, but some of the small ones will shoot 90 degree angles, horizontally and vertically, and are significantly less costly than the levels used for accurate site work).
I use a small robolazer for interior work. It was invaluable for laying out wall to "ceiling" intersections on a geodesic dome I recently finished and was an efficient stand-in for plumb bobs.
Price of the things is often relative to accuracy, and in the case of site levels, self-leveling and accuracy.
Sorry for the late response. Thankyou for the information, I went with a $600 robolaser with a remote. I have been happy so far.
