While making many visits to Florida over the years I have taken notice to the stucco on many homes there. This stucco is imbedded with glass beads or rods for which I”m sure are used to reflect heat.
We would like to do this to a solar home we are building here in Va.Is the glass imbedded in the stucco glass bead, or rod; and is it dashed on the final coat or just mixed into it?—Does anyone no of a supplier for the glass?
Thanks!!

Don In the LaSalle -Peru area in north cent.Ill. Glas-dash was very popular with about 1/2 the stucco houses having it . Iwas told that they quit making the stuff in the '50s . The glass was dashed on the final coat . It was a muli-color glass , had red blue amber as major colors and greens, yellows, etc as minor colors . Looked great on sunny days.
