Reflectix for cabin crawlspace?
We have a small mountain cabin on an Oregon river. There is currently no subfloor insulation. To keep our toes toasty in this woodfire heated tiny cabin I’m considering adding reflectix in the floor joist cavities.
I am considering stapling them tight to the subfloor boards with no air channel between. I realize this reduces the R-value but the mice are tenacious and I don’t want to create a haven for them. Anything would be an improvement at this point. Anyone have a similar experience?
