I have some slate work to do and am concerned about grout, specifically about cleaning up after I grout the stone. What is a suggested release agent to ensure that the grout doesn’t bond to the surface of the slate tiles?

I have heard that a silicone sealer for the tiles is available and recommended before you grout to seal the tiles. Anybody else have a better idea???????
I recently installed a cleft face slate in my shower and used a water base grout release. It worked. The stuff came off as I cleaned the grout (I also washed the slate with water after the grout had set). What I liked about the product was that I could then select the type of sealer after I grouted the tile (I then used a stone enhancer/sealer that brought out the grain and color of the slate).
thanks. What brand was the product you used?
Sorry,
Aqua Mix grout release and the make a stone enhancer (solvent based for hard stone and water based for softer stone)
Here is the link for the grout release.
