I’m looking at replacing a fixed window with a window that opens. The window is high in the gable end of an A-frame, and the sill is 11 feet off the floor. I’d like to find a window which I think I’ve seen. It is a casement window. However, in place of the usual hand crank aimed up, there’s a hook-eye aimed down. The homeowner hooks a pole into the eye and cranks the window open or closed. Anybody have any leads or suggestions?
