I have to replace a filler at the end of a cabinet run. It was glued in place with ordinary white glue.Any suggestions on how to break the seal without damaging the cabinet?

Glued?
Razor knife and hammer, the end of the cabinet has a finish on it and the glue should not have bonded well. if it's ordinary white glue.
take the cabinet down and remove the door and the hinges if they are in the way and clamp a straight-edge to the face of the cabinet and saw it off!
put some tape on your saw base and use a sharp 40-tooth blade

Do not try this at home!

A lot of these glues are heat sensitive. Like ggglazing, they will get gummy again under a heat gun. That might not help the finish though. If it's painted, you are going to have to touch up anyway.

White vinegar. It will soften it up enough to break the bond, and you can rub the residue off.
