Some genius glued about 125 small mirrors to the panels of my 1924 frame and panel mahogany stairwell interior. Any tips on removing the old adhesive with minimal damage to the wood? It looks like dried PL400 or PL200.

try acetone or MEK.
Chisel and then use a sanding block or orbital sander. Takes time but minimal damage to wood. You may have better results if you soften the adhesive with a heat gun. Careful with the heat though. You don't want to burn the wood. Use it just enough to make the adhesive soft and easier to chisel off.

Thanks for the tips. So far we're using razor paint trim scrapers. Moving around the stairwell, however we found that the genius was on the "Whatever sticky stuff we can find lying around will work" program. PL400 or 200, something white and rubbery that's not silicon caulk, something dark brown and rubbery but stickier than the white stuff and VERY tenacious. Only about 75 mirrors left to reveal alternative means of adhesion.
Hi Sounds like one of those that you would be saying if I could get my hands around the guys neck that did this crap.
My favorite remover cleaner stuff is laquor thinner. Use rubber gloves, open windows, and watch for any sparks. No luck all skill and elbow.
