Anybody have a better system for removing 32 year old caulk from needle cut brick?
I’ve tried paint stripers, acid, heat torch looking for something better.

What about a solvent like "Goo Gone" or "Lift Off?" The label usually lists a long string of things it can dissolve, often including dried latex paint -- so maybe it would soften caulking? I've seen it in lots of stores & HI centers...

Take a look at http://www.prosoco.com. They manufacture cleaning/ restoration/ protection chemicals specific to almost any kind of masonry staining or soiling situation imaginable, and I believe they make a product specifically for removing caulk from brick. Though you may find their prices a bit steep, I have seen restoration contractors use them to make walls and sills that I would have sworn were impossible to clean appear almost brand new. I believe they are distributed through CPD- the concrete topping and patching people. Hope this helps.
