What’s the easiest way to remove self-adheasive tiles? I’m remodeling a small bathroom and need to remove these tiles which are ontop of a concrete floor. I know some tiles will pop easy but others may need some “gentle persuasion.” I’m thinking a heat gun but worried that it will be too time consuming, I’d rather use a chisel and hammer. What other options do I have?
Thanks, Dave

shoe-- I did just that today with my Fein Multi-Master and a scraper blade. It took about an hour to do a 4' x7' room with 2 layers of stick-on tile on concrete.

Ouch, Two layers huh? good thing it went quick. I have a feeling this will take longer not only because of the size of the room (13' X 8') but it looks like it will be all chiseling the whole way.
Thanks for the feedback" Looks good from my house!!"
Yeah, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I think the top layer was vinyl, which kinda held everything together. the bottom layer was a lot more brittle and came up more easily. I just hope they didn't have asbestos, but I'm not planning on living forever, anyway.
I'm not sure you have to worry about the asbestos. The brittle part is what I'm worried about. That's when it all comes up in a million pieces, that takes forever." Looks good from my house!!"
Shoe,
My wife and I did the same thing in our entrance hall a few years ago. She wielded the hair dryer, and I used the scraper. The hair dryer really mad it easy to get the tiles off. A heat gun would probably be even better.
