I’M TRYING TO REMOVE A CERAMIC TILE FLOOR TO EXPOSE THE ORIGONAL OAK FLOOR UNDERNEATH. I WAS ABLE TO BREAK THE TILES OFF, BUT IN BETWEEN THE TILE AND THE OAK IS A VERY STUBBORN 1/4″ PLYWOOD LAYER THAT IS SCREWED AND GLUED TO THE OAK. THE SCREWS ARE COMING OUT, BUT THE GLUE WON’T BUDGE AND I’M AFRAID I’M GOING TO TEAR UP THE OAK FLOOR TRYING. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Try setting your power saw to a little under the ply thickness so you don't cut into the oak and make a series of cuts about 1" apart as a test. Then take a chisel and see if it will lift off in smaller sections. Even if this works it sounds like you will have some serious sanding ahead of you.
*If you rent a big hungry sander maybe you can sand that plywood off.
*I guess you mean "removing underlayment" ?
