Replace Tool Holder on Bosch MX25E Oscillating Multi Tool
Can anybody provide info on replacing the tool holder on a Bosch MX25E oscillating multi tool. If the name is misleading the tool holder is the part that the blade is secured to.
I’ve seen some info where people have used a gear puller or grinder to cut the part off and then heated the new part to expand it and then pressed it on. Are there better ways to do this?

Hi, did you ever get help with this? I need to do the same thing. How did you do it, can you give me advice?
Thanks! Not much out there on the web, as you know.
The installation info I found was on EREPLACEMENTPARTS.COM. There were several comments from purchasers that described the different procedures that were used. Everybody seemed to be able to install the part using the procedures they describe. I have bought parts from EREPLACEMENTPARTS.COM and would not hesitate to buy from them again. I also sent an inquiry directly to Bosch but haven't received a response yet. If they respond with any useful info I will let you know.
Thanks jimmiem, but where on the ereplacementparts website did you find the procedures? I bought the part from them already. I looked, but can't find the information. I appreciate your reply above!

Go to the parts diagram.
#27 is the part. Click on it.
The box with the price info will come up and TOOL HOLDER will be underlined.
Click on TOOL HOLDER.
The next screen will have Stars and Reviews.
Click on Reviews or just scroll down to see the purchasers' comments.
I just spoke to Bosch support. They said to use a GEAR PULLER to remove the part and a PRESS to install it.
Wow! Thanks! I think I owe you a beer!

Replacing the tool holder on a Bosch MX25E oscillating multi tool can be done using a gear puller or grinder, but it's important to be careful to avoid damaging the tool. An alternative method is to use a heat gun to expand the new holder and then press it onto the tool. Always ensure the tool is unplugged and cool before attempting any repairs.
Thanks for your advice. I will give it a try today.
