i have to replace all my old double hung 6 over 6 single pane windows, i have beautiful chestnut trim on the inside so i want to go with a highend replacement window. so far marvin and anderson have been recommended to me. i have not looked at any windows yet. i plan on staining the windows on the inside to match my trim and the outside has to be white. Any help from the pros out there will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I've installed both you mention
along with Pella's.
All good.
Good measurements and careful install will produce good results.
