replacing an air filter..where to find?
I’m here in Abilene where I am helping my brother pour a pad and put up a metal shed. While in process, it’s been a little warm, (106+) and the air conditioner is working hard. When we went to change the air filter, we pulled out this 6″ thick thing neither of us had seen before. It’s a Z-series 700 SG, 20 X 24 X 6, extended air flow. We don’t know where to find these. He just moved into this house and is unfamiliar with providers. Anyone in HVAC familiar with this? Thanks.

I have found deeper air filters at HD. They are more expensive than what you are used to paying though.
I replace mine once a year but I don't use my air very much if at all. You mileage may vary.
Here is a online place. http://www.theairfilterstore.com/zline-filter

I've seen similar at Lowes. I think they are fairly common.
This might give you somewhere to start.

Thank you all. We found what we need at Baker Distribution in town. Custom Supply also had it, but out of stock. WE're good to go now. Now all I have to do is get my brother's shed up.....Now that is another issue.
