Replacing weather-worn brick on facade
I’ve been asked to replace approximately 20 brick at the base of a home which has become discolored over the years from water action. I can’t remove those brick because it would compromise the structural integrity of the facade. I had thought about removing approximately 2″ of the discolored brick, cut brick taken from the porch and using thinset replace those brick removed. I had also considered painting the brick with a matching color of the existing brick unaffected by water. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking leave it there and find a chemical cleaner.
