I’m doing a kitchen with a 50s look. Can’t find
a source for 9 by 9 vinyl tiles, so I was thinking
about cutting them. Any suggestions for cutting
them on a table saw? Will that work reasonably
or should I just say it can’t be done and use
12 by 12. Would really like to have the look
of the smaller tiles. Its a small space (8 by 8 feet).

There are vinyl tile cutters that you could rent to cut the tiles. I would think a tablesaw would not produce a clean cut, and could be hazardous if a tile exploded during a bad cut.
Lowes sells a 18" x 18" tile that looks like 9" black and white tiles. I havent seen 9" tile for so long that I think it's not being made anymore, but leftovers may in stock at some flooring vendors.
How about genuine linoleum?
