I like to restore an 1927 orginal door (sand it and paint it) There are some cracks on it (possibly water damage) What would be the best material to fill it and pait it afterwards./

Minwax wood filler
Thanks
On a recent kitchen remodel the homowner wished the habitually cracking panels in the door replaced. My intention was to cut out the raised panels and stop in new flat panels (to match the flat cab. panels). However, after cutting them out and looking at the door, I asked her if she might consider installing tempered glass instead. The mudroom off the kitchen was rec. some dressing up and she liked the thought of seeing out into that area. Maybe another idea to think about. Now if the pic attached.........__________________________________________

depending on the exposure to water, sunlight, etc. i'd look into west systems 2 part epoxy with a fillet blend 405 if memory serves. more work and alittle more messy than minwax ,but as far as integrity there no better. cheers the bear
