Hello Folks,
looking for some advice here from the experts. I have a wet crawlspace that gets pretty bad when it rains. The fill on my lot is very sandy and porous and doesn’t do much to stop ground water at the surface, as a result I will need to do some investigating and likely install a footing drain that feeds into a sump, then gets pumped out away from the structure.
My questions are:
1) when excavating and laying the perforated pipe, I will need to tee into it and get it into the crawlspace. How do I do this? Can I dig under the foundation footing and run a non perforated pipe under and then back up?
2) relative to the poured footer how low should the pipe sit (h) and how far away should it sit (x). anything critical to do or not do here?
the attached diagram is what I think needs to be done, does this seem right?

Your sump needs to be lower than the footing drains.
