Installed a Viking hood and its ventilation system/exhaust fan over our Viking 36″ dual-fuel range, but darn it, the Viking fan is SO noisy.  Now I wish I had installed the Vent-a-hood with its quiet squirrel cage. (yes, we use the fan at high speed often because I do lots of frying and stuff).

So my question is….can the vent-a-hood exhaust fan/squirrel cage be retrofitted into the Viking hood? Anyone done this?  Wonder if I could have a vent-a-hood rep come over and take a look.

Our Viking stainless steel hood is definitely staying in place, since we custom fit our cabinets around it.
