Hello,
I’m considering construction a cold, vaulted roof, something similar to what you might find in a church. From the inside the ceiling would curve from the two side walls and taper to a point at the ridge. Imagine a gambrel without the angles. Not sure what to call it.
Anyway, I’m not sure how to frame it. I’ve heard some people have made ribs out of laminated plywood. If anyone knows where I can look at samples, knows what this style of roof is called, or would know how to design and construct the ribs, I would be grateful.

Any chance we could get a sketch? And maybe some rough dimensions?

Sure, I'll post some tomorrow.

David,
Well, I did curved gambrel roof lines on my house which would be similar to what you want (see my website below). You frame it out with 2x material to the degree that you can "bend" the plywood over it as I did on the curved part. You can use two layers of 3/8" cdx if its a tight bend or as I did on a not so tight bend just use 1/2". Deck screws are helpful in the stress areas. I finished the sheathing several years ago and it looks great if I say so myself. The biggest bummer is doing the trim....what a hassel that was........but its done!
Be well
