Are there certain paints or techniques involved in creating really rich looking interior walls? It seems to me I read somewhere that certain paints have a mixture of pigments that don’t necessarily blend entirely resulting in a less monotone appearance. If it’s not the paint then what’s the secret/secrets? Layers of different colored paint, wall prep, plaster walls….???

The DW did something wacky..she painted the walls with one base kinda color, then sponged on another over it..in one room it actually looked like a sunrise..layers both of color and bands changing from the floor to the cieling..glad we were able to sell the house..most people liked it, but I am sure some folks would say.."oh, that has got to go"..
The trim was a gunmetal grey to add to the look..don't have any pics, sorry.
