Ridgid tool warranty procecess backlog

Just an FYI if you are waiting for confirmation on the warranty on your recent purchase of a Ridgid power tool. I submitted docs in February for a 4 tool set, and hadn’t heard a word. Called them up today and the girl said “that department got very busy after Christmas and built up a 22-25 WEEK backlog”.
So I won’t be getting any confirmations any time soon, apparently. That’s nearly 6 months!

Are you intentionally making all of you fonts tiny?
Or are you just messin with us?
Probably both options would be correct.
So if you call somebody an idiot and he come over your house and stomp you into a mud puddle and walk you dry, hey its your fault. ---Brownbagg

I don't own any Rigid tools. OTOH, when I heard about the too good to be true warranties on batteries and stuff I was definitely a doubter.
Is this Rigid brand the same that used to make heavy duty wrenches and pipe threading equipment 20 years ago or so? Or is this Rigid an entirely new co or maybe someone bought the Rigid name? Or maybe they bought a power tool company or something? Where are their power tools made?
