Just bought a new table-saw to replace my old (got burn’t in a forest fire). Been looking at boch and makita but then was in HD the other day and looked at the Ridgid TS 2400 Portable table saw W/stand. It appeared to be much better built and designed than the others and ended up buying it. Got it home and every thing about it is really sweet except that the motor might not be up to par-hard saying anyway. Hoping I didn’t get home depoted. If any body can give me some feedback on this saw, I would sure appreciate it. It’s impossable to get any recent reviews on it.

Don't worry about the saw. My buddy is a full time carpenter and he has the same table saw as you. He can't say enough about it.... He loves it! He uses it on just about every job. Easy to move around and setup.

Headcheese,
I happen to have a Ridgid TS-2400 and am VERY HAPPY with it. I used it quite a bit to renovate my nephews' house for him, before he sold it. I used it to rip a lot of planks for siding, trim work as well as oak.
The only thing I don't care for is the loud start-up torque sound when it first comes on. Please keep in mind, if it's a Ridgid, it's GUARENTEED FOR LIFE. No other tool manufacturer does that.

I've been looking at the same saw. I noticed though that the display model had a little play in the fence whereas the full size saw locked rock solid. Was the display model just out of adjustment or am I being too critical?
