Johnson has a new tool called a rock ripper. I’ts a wide faced t-square with handle at the joint. It has a 24″ blade and the blade has little holes at 1/16 1/8 1/4 1/2 incraments all along it’s length. Put the tip of your knife in the hole and you can score a 12′ length as fast as you can walk it. Beats the hell out of the old tape measure and knife trick. I really love this thing, it’s probably the best new thing for sheet rock since spiral cutters. here is a pic

I've had one for a couple years. Works real good for foamboard, too.
*I wondered if they had been around for a while, I've never seen one where I live in NC, but I'm out in the mid west on vacation and picked one up, now I just have to get it home. It's hard to fit in a bag.
*Fold it?
*find one of them MailBox stores and mail it to yer self. Jeff
*You sheetrock on vacation?
*I wish I could fold it, it's rigid. No I don't rock on vacation, I just hadn't seen one in any of the stores in my area, and I loved the design, it didn't dawn on me till I got home and then thought, Now how the hell will I get this to NC. I didn't want to mail it because I'm cheap and it would cost almost as much as the tool. I duct taped it to my guitar case and it came through just fine, and I'm happy cause no stores here cary it. Thanks.
*"I duct taped it to my guitar case and it came through just fine"Lol, life is good.
*Doesn't everyone take duct tape on thier vacation?
*Is there anyone without a roll in their vehicle? The "lives in the back box of stuff"? Joe H
