You don't have to sacrifice historical elements of a house in the name of energy efficiency.

Andy-
Are you thinkin' about getting one? If it were me, I would want to be sure that the Rockwell blades are NOT proprietary, that you can use Fein, Dremel/Bosch, and others on it. Just my three cents.
ken...nah...not looking to buy one...just like wish listing...never even bought the MM. Done without it all these years and figure I can get along without it a few more....especially in this economy. I have more tools then I know wh..................what am I saying????no...never enough tools...lol.

You can just add "sometime soon" at the end and not lose your man card.

I don't have one either, but I'm waiting for the new one with more horsepower to come out.The fein vac is too quiet, I need one that makes a loud noise so I can hear it run when my Dewalt job radio is blaring Rush Limbaugh.
More horsepower..yep..uh huh..thats the ticket...Screw Rush...I'm still immature and listen to Howard every day...much more fun...helps get yer mind offa the mess.
everyone has all the answers..it's givin me a headache already..everyones so mature and together...geezz.
Kinda sick of the Craftsman Vac...it's almost as irritating as some of the political ping pong

Yeah, I'm 50 and immature too. The political talk here is ruining the joint. No one has the answers, but they tell everyone else why their answers are wrong. In the end what's left? A buncha bad attitudes.
I have one.
In my limited experience:
It came in very handy to remove some trim and parts of an exterior door jamb that had been shredded by my dog. I've never used a multimaster so I don't know how it compares, but I was amazed how I could use the sonicrafter to make an accurate freehand cut across the trim casing. Trying to cut through the thick door jamb however was slow going and I felt like I was pushing the machine a bit hard.
Amazon reviews mention the blades coming loose. I had this problem at first but tightened the attachment screw down hard and had no more problems so far.
Not sure if it can take blades from other manufacturers.
