Hi all, this may be a really obvious answer but I’ve tried searching but haven’t found an answer to a specific question I have so I thought I would try here. I’m looking at common trusses for the roof of a home that is 20 feet from outside edge of one stud wall to outside edge of the other stud wall. Would the span be 20 ft for the trusses or do you add 1/2” on each side to account for OSB so the bottom cord of the common truss covers that as well without the angle of the overhang tail hitting the square degree edge of the OSB sheathing?

Depends on the truss maker and folks who order.
ask your supplier.
I think it is great to consider this ahead of time. Good planning.
