I recently had a new membrane roof applied on my low-slope roof. Some time during the process (probably the tear-off), the roofers dropped something down the vent stack for my kitchen sink. For now, everything still functions, but the drain gurgles horribly. They’ve installed a screen inside the stack about a foot or so below the surface (to stop things like this from happening again, I’m sure), so I can’t see the problem.
Any advice/comments?
This situation literally sucks.

If it's gurgling like that then likely whatever it is is actually below the sink drain. Try snaking out the drain -- probably you can break up whatever it is and flush it away.
