We originally started with two of the old style Senco's ( scn200). We probably only do about 10-12 roofs a year, averaging 20 square ea. Nail jams and broken parts plagued the guns. Parts for these were very expensive ( read $ 90.00 for only one of the two parts needed to replace the roof contact saftey..) All of the machine screws eventually stripped out, making tear down and cleaning a hassle. Power was inadequate, and , one of the guns actually came apart on the roof. Now we are running Bostitch Rn45b's. They are great!
It seems that Senco's old design is being marketed under one or more different manufacturer's label. Let the buyer beware.
I've used the duo-fast. It had some hard plastic parts that didn't look like they were going to hold up.
TIP: Keep the roof contact saftety and surrounding areas CLEAN AND DRY. Any lubricant in this area will melt the asphalt, leading to dangerous nail jambs. I have started using aresol electrical parts cleaner, purchased cheap at the auto parts store. Whatever you use, make sure it's compatible with the o-rings.

We use the Senco SCN40R nailer. They have worked great for us. One of our nailers started jamming alot; just needed to be cleaned. Ive also heard that the Hitachis are good but dont have any user experience.

I HAVE BEEN A ROOFER FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND
HAVE USED ABOUT EVERY AIR NAILER OUT THERE. I
HAVE FOUND THE HITACHI NV45AB TO BE LIGHTER,
MORE POWERFUL AND VERY RELIABLE.
