I have a roofing question to throw out there. I have a low pitched roof on a 1920’s California Bungalow. (Not enough pitch for a comp. roofing system) The current roof, which is tar and gravel desperately needs to be replaced. Now here is my question, is the “torch down membrane” type of roofing system suitable for this application or should I stick with the tar and gravel. I had one roofing contractor highly recommend the torch down system, but I have never seen it on a pitched roof. Any info., experiences, ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

It'll keep water off but if you have enough pitch that you can see the roff surface, it will look like hell. Sounds like this guys bag of tricks is limited to one product that he feels compelled to sell, regardless of whether it is right for you.
just one man's impression. Modified torch down has never been high on my list.
Excellence is its own reward!
How long will they gaurentee material and workmanship against leaks?
How long have they been in buisness?
Torch down wouldn't be my first choice. When it goes bad it limits relpacement options.
