I think I am in the right place but if not can someone move me. So for my project I want to make rotary sifter. Using two sheets of 1/4″ mesh and attach them so they make 1/8″ squares. I want this to be permeant and sturdy. I think the best way to attach them together would be to solder it.(I am open to other options if there any) But I don’t know what soldering kit/solder, seeing that this would be my first time soldering something. What would you suggest? links to the products would be great thanks.

Well, you'd have to use copper or galvanized "mesh" (hardware cloth, I suppose). Probably you'd be best off using a torch and plumbing solder with separate flux. If you're not sifting foodstuffs then lead-based solder is a bit easier to work with, if you can find it. Any hardware store will have the basics.
But I'd think you could hold two pieces of hardware cloth in alignment together with a few bolts and washers, so long as they won't get in the way.
And you can buy 1/8" hardware cloth, so it's not clear that you'd need to combine two pieces anyway.

I will have to see if there is some at ace as I need it to match the prototype I made. so buying it online would make things diffcult.
