How would a Routed Wedged Housed-Stringer Stairs survive in a Low Humidity area that goes as low as 9% relative humidity? Would they Shrink and Squeak?
Thanks,

I'm in no way an expert on this but would think if materials used were given proper time to acclimated to the low humidity everything would be fine . I've built stairways this way with and without risers and had no problems . I live in an area with high humidity though.
I agree, we have to let Hardwood Flooring acclimate here and Install it tight to the walls in which was totally opposite from what I was taught back east. It does shrink, But it is fine if it is acclimated. I just did not understand why no one offers pre-fabed stairs here.
