Does anybody know the name of the type of router bit used to cut-out window openings when framing walls. In Japan they call it a straight-flush bit, but I can’t find the same bit anywhere on the net.

Roto zip makes a 1/4" bit they call a "Door and window opening bit" It works OK, I don't know if i's much better than the standard 1/8 inch bit they make for drywall. The drywall bits have a smooth area at the end of the bit that acts as a guied along the framing. The standard bit has cutting edges all the way up.

Flush trim would be what you're looking for, I think. Bearing on bottom of bit.
