   What wire (10 gauge?)

   How far away is the outlet from your service panel?  Also, would you like to add any other new outlets in the grage while you are at it?

   double pole?  220/110?

   All the 30 amp circuits for what you are looking at are 220v.  The two hots are in opposite phase, so combined they make 220 volts, but individually they are 110.

   wire for 50amp to accomodate camper upgrade?

   Yes.  I personally like using the 50amp 4 prong outlets, as they have the ground AND are pretty easy to source in the appliance section.

   Hey Guys.... unless things have changed (and I don't think they have), the RV receps are all 30A @ 120V. It's quite strange compared with house wiring where anything above 20A is usually two pole 240V.

   If you may eventually install a 50A outlet you may want to install the cable to suit that now, vs having to pull new cable when you upgrade.  For 50A you need at least a #8, maybe a #6 if you use jacketed cable rather than individual conductors in conduit.  It should be 4-wire cable -- bare ground and insulated hot/hot/neutral.

   For just the 30A outlet you need 10/2wg -- #10 cable with ground and insulated hot/neutral.

   But for longer runs (which is likely with a garage) you'd need to use a larger sized wire in any case.
