   Pika Woodworking, in Oakland. WH Woodworking, Oakland or Piedmont. Mueller-Nicholls, Oakland. City Cabinetmakers, SF. You could also go down to the Nexus woodshop and see if anyone's making cabinets there.

   Nota: Nice work @ Knottyhole but I need some thing for a rental on the middle-lower income side of town. Can't do it myself as I don't get around too well these days. Also the tenant is my son so I want something a bit nicer but not a presentation level project. Another problem is the contractors I've talked to want to do a whole kitchen or nothing.

   You're welcome and you're right; Knotty Hole is the place you go when you want it for your own home...
   What about Ikea? Is your son handy with metric Allen ranch and screw driver? Cheaper and essentially disposable cabinets. Put some into an office and they don't look so bad; cleated them for support to prevnt earthquake nightmares.
