Anybody know of window/door manufacturers that use tempered or laminated glass? Can one get safety glass that is also insulated (double pane, lo-e, etc.)?

AM, I would imagine by now that all states and Canada have adopted codes REQUIRING safety glazing for doors. CABO (Sect. 308) requires safety glazing for doors and also for sashes of any significant size adjacent to doorways as well as certain other locations. Consequently, you should be able to obtain tempered, insulated, low-E glazing from your distributor.
