I don’t know how many time I have banged my shins in the course of doing simple construction things. After Chemotherapy my healing time from simple bruises and cuts was lengthened considerably. WHAT TO DO? I selected a soccer shin guard as protection. There are many brands but I picked the one that is soaked in water, fit to your leg while the material sets, and then let it dry. They fit, I put them on each morning and I can’t tell you the number of time climbing ladders, moving re-bar, lumber etc that those shin guards have saved me lots of grief. They are put on each morning right after my steel toed shoes (toe protection). Frank

OK here's my list of stuff to put on at work.
Hard hat , earplugs , safety glasses, mouthpiece, elbow band, wrist supporter, back brace, athletic supporter w/ cup, shin guards and steel toed boots. Did I miss anything?

*Hi, Dave - I've been thinking about a mouthpiece - mainly because I haven't been able to clench my jaws like I used to.It sure makes a big difference in strength.Didn't realize it until I lost a couple of lower molars.
