When I need help with all the usual crap that appliances dish out, I go to Samuri Appliance. Very helpful. For a few bucks you can join and post. A year ago my AKSO washer crapped out. Turns out they have external motor brushes that eventually fail. 40 bucks later I am all clean, agitated and spun. As a dedicated DIY’er I can say that Samuri is well worth it, much like this board.
That said, the Dojo is out at Samuri today. I am installing a Wolf 30″ range and there is an anti-tip flange on the unit. There is a gap in the middle for gas plumbing. However, the manual for gas line install is different. Says I can locate the stub starting at 8.5 inches from the left. No way based on the anti tip flange. Anyone else have this problem?

NO. For what its worth, the Wolf Dual Fuel 30" range instruction manual is WRONG! The distributor's service dept said they have yammered at Wolf for a year and no change in the manual, no tech sheet sent, nada. That means many homeowners will pump out bucks for relocating gas and electric they thought was ok. Bad PR, bad service.http://www.etherhuffer.typepad.com
Well, that is worth repeating.

I coulda told ya U can't trust rough in specs!
like my electrician always says ...
then fer'ners always lie ... even if they're from here!
he uses a great thick hillbilly accent to deliver his famous line ... makes it even better.
he's been in the high end business long enough to know ... the imports are famous for screwing up their rough in specs ... and the high end american appliances are getting good at playing catch up.
the more U spend the farther off they'll be!

Ouch. Why? Seems to me to be biting the best hands. I would venture the manual is written by a desk bound engineer who is not allowed to touch the real merchandise. I have used some Bosch guides, and they were Teutonicly precisely instructive. Asko guides are more suited for abstract thinkers. Any thermostat setback or timer seems to be designed by Microsoft and written in Sanskrit by crack addicts.http://www.etherhuffer.typepad.com
