I read with interest your discussion on end-grain flooring, grouted with a sawdust/Watco mixture (FHB168). My daughter recently purchased a condo which sports extensive oakwood parquet flooring throughout. As a ground-floor unit, the 70’s parquet is adhered to a cement sub-floor. Although the wood flooring is in relatively good condition, it is suffering from shrinkage, leaving random gaps. Does anyone think that this sawdust grout might be a workable solution to filling those gaps? If so, I assume the floor needs to be sanded first, then grouted. Any other budget-minded, gap-filling ideas?

I see your new so welcome, but..........
If you re-post this thread in the "construction technique" column you will probably get more responses.

Thanks for the tip. My choice came from the most recent Fine Homebuilding issue where they published a "discussion" on this topic.
