Blue,
I would like to participate in this exercise. I’m a little unclear what exactly you are proposing. Are we working out the order and intent of the slides, the specific content, the actual layout in PP, or all of the above?
One of my goals is to develop a focused sales presentation because I, like you, am a terrible salesman. I need to have a process. This exercise will be very helpful.

Hey Blue.
Don't know if you want my help, but I put together business presentations all the time for clients. Some of it is Powerpoint, some of it Flash/Director/Interactive, lots of it is video.
I am actually out until Tuesday for the Easter holiday, but if you give me a sense of what you do, what you are trying to sell and to whom, I can give you some "professional" advice.
Let me know.
"I myself will need to create a sales presentation of our company, and their services. Somewhere inside that presentation will be the SCA presentation. Essentially, marketing the SCA is the mini goal, leding to the big enchilada.'
I still don't think that you 'get it".
FIRST you need to have some product or service that you are selling.
If you have that product or service I don't think that you have made it clear what that is.
In Sony's example he is not selling the SCA, what he is selling is solutions to water and moisture problems.
I think that you need to do some brain storming on exactly what that product or service is and what benifits that your company can offer.
At this point it does not matter if it is a PP or your presentation or you have an advertising company making TV ads.
YOU need to be specific on what your services are, who you are marketing them to and the benifits.
THEN worry about how you are going to present it.
Blue,
You are probably way ahead of me, business wise and other ways.
I'm observing you. Once in a thread about I don't know what, you told me that you believed that we may have similiar personalities.
You need to catch your breath, and sit still for a minute.
I see you going all over the place.
Slow down, go back and think this through from the beginning. I don't mean your entire concept, I mean how it is you are presenting it, trying to package and sell it.
Your very excited, I can tell, that great!!
But you are not focusing on what you need to do.
At least it looks that way from here. Maybe I'm just not following the bouncing ball.
I thought you were going into framing to H/O's. What's this about remodeling??
I don't care if you don't like what I wrote. I think you are talented, and I just see you going off in a thousand directions.

Blue,
I think what you may want to think about is that the product is Total Customer Satifaction and the SCA and the Lead Carpenter System are the two main tools with which you will achieve this for your remodeling clients.
Sound like your idea??
Sonny or Bill or Jerrald will probably be able to expand on this better than I.

You are right. The customer has a Problem and wants it solved. The customer does not care if you use PP or SCA or pulls some magic device out "where the sun don't shine".He just wants his problem solved. Now BED real job is to figure out what the problem is and convice the client that he is the person to solve that problem. And the real problem might not be what the client comes to you for.
Blue, let's go back to square #1 and the entire purpose of the "presentation" regardless of the format.
The #1 goal of your pitch is what Gary of Sunshine Handyman in Kalamazoo calls:
"Service Image Amplification." I intend to combine that "philosophy" with what I call "Customerization" - a total commitment to servicing our customers.
So anything and everything you do must 1) establish, then 2) validate, and then 3) reinforce. Each slide and the sales explanation with each slide, and any visual tools you can also provide all go toward establishing, validating, reinforcing, and finally create the "perception" tin the customer's mind that only you should be hired. The book Brand Harmony (http://www.brandharmony.com). I strongly suggest that you buy it. It's main emphasis is that everything you do and say must constantly contribute to that "Brand Harmony" of the company. Easier said than done, but then again, the big bucks only comes to those who have the resources, organization and persistence to do so.
As Dr. Grey said: "Successful people form the habit of doing the things failures don't like to do."
