My Bosch 4410 has developed an alignment problem whereby the trailing edge of the blade is no longer aligned with the rails, causing the teeth on the trailing edge to start cutting a little more wood as they pass through the kerf.
It looks like the head is attached to the rails by a set screw on each side. Is that where the adjustment would be made?

look to the fence being out of alignment...

The head is out of alignment with the rails. The cut would be out of square if the fence was out of alignment. So the head needs trued to the rails.I would check that the fence is square to the rails first. Then square the blade to the fence and check the cut.
The head is indeed out of alignment to the rails. The question is how do I re-align it?BruceT

I didn't see how to do that in the owners manual.

Thanks. The little set screws (194) on the knuckle (33) attach the head to the rails. If I loosen one of them and tap the knuckle with a hammer, I can get it back in alignment - after a suitable number of cycles of loosen-tap-tighten-test.BruceT
I have the information you need in an attachment that doesn't wanna load...

Thanks. I don't know where you got that diagram, but that's exactly what the Bosch senior technician told me this morning. Apparently, by bumping the saw hard or by a piece of wood getting jammed between blade and one of the two halves of the fence, the head can be tweaked out of alignment. By loosening one of those two little set screws on the front rail knuckle and tapping the knuckle you can get it back into alignment. He said that there's about 1/8" of in/out movement available on each side, so plenty of room to adjust. Should take only about a couple of thousandths. It'll take some patience, though, because it'll be a trial and error process until I get it right on.BruceT
I got my sources....
glad it helped...
