I have a client that wants a 12 x 12 screened in porch. I tried to steer them to more of a three season room but they just want a simple deck roof and screens. Whatever? Somewhere in ancient issues I remember seeing a system of tracks with trim covers that you can apply on top of your framing, screen the frames, pop the covers on and you’re done. Just can’t find the manufacturer. Has anyone seen or used this or anything similar? I don’t really want to spend the time making cheesy aluminum fames and then all the nonsense that goes along with making them removeable for repair.
Thanks in advance
Dustin

Screen Tight (or Tite). I bought it at either Home Depot or Lowes.
I've done several ScreenTite installs (pieces from Depo)
I really like it - it looks good, and is easy to repair. I've even done branching pieces and triangular bits o' screen, all to look like a tree.
Maybe not "Fine" homebuilding, but a definite thumbs-up

They want simple and I guess this is it!?!?
Does anyone know of a different brand/style that I could compare or price out against the Screen Rite?
Ummm, there's "Screen Wrong" and "Screen Mostly Right", but they're hard to find.

Sorry smarty, I meant screen tite.

Have you ever had any problems with shrinkage on the trim pieces. I installed some the last summer and after it was exposed to sunlight the trim pieces shrunk from 1/8 to 1/4 inch per piece. haven't talked to the company yet but would like to know if anybody has had this problem. The trim color was terratone if that makes any difference. Thanks.
like all plastics, it is very temperature sensitive.. shrinking in the cold & expanding in the heat.. we install it with that in mindMike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
