I am in the process of applying rolled aluminum sheet metal as siding on a small project of mine, and I want to use a sheet metal screw with a sealing washer, but am limited in what size I can use. The screw must be less than 1/2″, at the very most 9/16″. Any recommended manufacturers would be helpful, thanks

They do make screws for this type of application. Not sure which manu, makes them as I was at the top of the chimney when the G.C. I helped on Dad's extension handed me a bunch and said to screw down the flashing over the top and sides.
They were about 1" long with a rubber washer to seal out the water.
Tego,
Ask a metal roofing supplier for some seam screws.
