SDS max – drilling for wedge bolts
Apparently, we can’t find the right bits to use our Hitachi SDS Max hammer to drill for wedge bolts. The smallest SDS max bit we have is 3/4″.
Which means that we end up drilling a lot of 1/2″ and 5/8″ holes with our ordinary Milwaukee 1/2″ hammer drill. Blech.
Are there such things, or would we have to go to the smaller SDS plus to find the right bits?

Is it a chuck that you have to swap out, or just an adapter?

I've got a 5/8 Bosch sds max.
Home Depot stocks 1/4" and bigger SDS bits....
I just got a 1/2" sds max bit at the depot Clearance price $17.00. 03/27/09
1/2" is a very common size for sds max i have from 10" to 24" bits.
The adapter works but is not as convenient as the right bit. Good luck
