I hear that shellac will get rid of the odor. Try it on one of the drawers, inside and out.

Definitely shellac. I'm staring at a can of Zinsser Bull's Eye shellac and it even says "blocks odors" on the can. I used it on an old cabinet that came out of a barn that reeked of cat urine. Worked well.
